Food insecurity has been a major indirect impact of this global pandemic. During these uncertain times, it is more important than ever we come together as a community and help our neighbors. When we heard late last week that some perishable food boxes needed to find families who needed them, we pulled together and facilitated the distribution of the food to 112 families at the Eliot Family Resource Center. LEVIA would like to give a special thanks to Keith from Eliot Family Resource Center for opening the doors after hours. As well as a special thanks to the great people from American Legion Post 34 who helped deliver and hand out close to 2,000 boxes of food over the past week.
